Eugene Lanceray: "Vachère et veaux" (Shepherdess with calves), 1872 Cast: Felix Chopin foundry,  1873

It is a bronze group (27.5 х 26 х 23.5 сm) depicting a shepherdess with three calves and a dog. The figures were mounted with screws on an approximately round solid plate with the help of screws.
In a transport accident, several screws broke and the figures fell apart, with the tail of the larger calf also being damaged at the base.
The following measures were taken during the restoration:
  • Cleaning the surface with ethanol
  • mechanical removal of all salt efflorescence
  • Assemble the figures with new screws
  • Reattach the tail with the help of a dowel and epoxy resin
